WHO/Europe provides secretariat functions to THE PEP jointly with UNECE. Main activities include:

• liaising with Member States and intergovernmental, nongovernmental and other organizations;
• providing technical expertise and support to Member States;
• coordinating the preparation of High-Level Meetings on Transport, Health and Environment, the highest decision-making body of THE PEP, and facilitating agreements on commitments to shape healthy, green and sustainable transport and mobility;
• monitoring and reporting on the implementation of commitments made in declarations adopted under THE PEP; and
• coordinating THE PEP communications.
