STEVE DAVIS

Steve Davis was the president and chief executive officer of PATH until 2019. Combining expertise as a technology business leader, global health advocate, and social innovator, he has led PATH’s growth and evolution into a leading social enterprise advancing health solutions across the globe. 

Before joining PATH in 2012, Mr. Davis served as Director of Social Innovation at McKinsey & Company, Interim CEO of the Infectious Disease Research Institute, CEO of global digital media firm Corbis, and practiced law at the international law firm K&L Gates. Earlier in his career, he worked on Chinese politics and law, and refugee programs and policies.

Mr. Davis is a lecturer on social innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Challenge Seattle. He serves on the boards of Philanthropy University and InterAction, and sits on several advisory groups, including the AXA Stakeholder Advisory Panel, Medtronic Labs and the stewards of the World Economic Forum Health and Healthcare Challenge. He has previously served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including as chair of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, United Way of King County, and the Washington State Technology Alliance.

Mr. Davis earned his BA from Princeton University, his MA in Chinese studies from the University of Washington, and his law degree from Columbia University. He also studied at Beijing University.

HUGUETTE DIAKABANA

Huguette Diakabana is an experienced system-level change agent with a demonstrated history of working with international organizations and governments. She is passionate about fostering collaboration and expanding access to valuable and impactful knowledge to help achieve meaningful progress, in sub-Saharan Africa. Her experiences to date have involved developing and implementing context-appropriate technology-based solutions in education, mining, environment, agriculture, and in recent years in digital health in over 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.  

Huguette also mentors students and young professionals who are interested in collaboration and in leveraging appropriate, sustainable, and cost-effective technologies to make a difference in their communities.

She currently lives in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and frequently travels to countries in Central and West Africa to facilitate Digital Health policy and strategy development sessions, and conduct workshops on available technologies and data-driven decision-making.

She is fluent in English, French, Lingala and proficient in six other languages. She received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree focused on International Economics and International Business from Suffolk University, in Boston, Massachusetts.
