Membership and working groups
EOC-NET membership opens to EOCs, institutions, and individuals from WHO Member States. There are three types of EOC-NET membership. If you wish to join us, please read Terms of reference and Operating principles, and submit the application form for intended type of membership:
- EOC Member Application Form 2020-21 * The application should be submitted by the head of EOC. If submit by a designated focal point, a confirmation letter/email from the head of EOC is required.
The EOC members are EOCs of State Parties, Regional and International Organizations including UN Agencies, Regional Intergovernmental Agencies, and NGOs, etc..
- Institution Member Application Form 2020-21 * The application should be submitted by the head of the institution. If submit by a designated focal point, a confirmation letter/email from the head of the institution required.
The Institution members are institutions in WHO State Parties, Regional and International Organizations including UN Agencies, Regional Intergovernmental Agencies that are involved in managing health emergencies and interested in promoting EOC for more effective response.
Individual members are professionals of WHO State Parties, Regional and International Organizations including UN Agencies, Regional Intergovernmental Agencies who are involved in managing health emergencies and interested in promoting EOCs for more effective public health response, such as emergency /event managers, EOC technical experts and other professionals who support managing emergencies, conduct research, develop standards and tools relevant to EOCs.
WHO EOC-NET Secretariat will review your application and inform you the result. EOC-NET members will have access to information sharing with the global community, guidance and support in various area of PHEOCs, and collaboration opportunities on EOC-NET activities. EOC and institution members have the priority in participating in consultancy, working groups, advocacy, meetings, developing products, research projects and publications, providing on-site support, developing and conducting EOC training and exercises, etc.
The Secretariat select experts from the members to develop various Working groups for specific work or projects. Four EOC-NET working groups established previously are: EOC Communication Technology and Infrastructure (CTI) working group, EOC Minimum Data Sets and Standards (MDSS) working group, EOC Procedures and Plans (P&P) working group, and EOC Training and Exercises (T&E) working group
The EOC-NET SharePoint site is an online collaborative and communication portal and workspace for sharing knowledge, experience and information with EOC-NET members. The site takes members through countless resources and references, including the EOC-NET publications, training and exercise materials, tools on best practices and standards, ongoing and future activities, projects and latest news, etc. Only approved EOC-NET members have access to the SharePoint. Once your application is accepted, the EOC-NET Secretariat will provide instruction for accessing EOC-NET SharePoint .
