Health inequities and racial and ethnicity based discrimination: what COVID 19 is teaching us

The Gender, Equity, and Human Rights Team in the Office of the Director-General, WHO/HQ, is pleased to invite you to the Webinar on “Health inequities and racial and ethnicity-based discrimination: what COVID-19 is teaching us” that will take place on 25 MARCH 2021 from 13:00-14:00 pm CET. This Webinar is part of the “WHO Global Webinars on the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on Equity and the Social Determinants of Health” and it also constitutes part of the knowledge exchange events being convened for “World Health Day 2021” on Health Equity. 

The purpose of this Webinar is to share perspectives on the impact of racial and ethnicity-based discrimination on health and health inequities, as well as what is being and can be done to address these inequities now and in building back better. This Webinar is open to representatives of Governments, academia, and research institutes, multilateral system partners, and members of international professional organizations, civil society, and community groups working on racial and ethnicity-based discrimination and equity-oriented and rights-based approaches to COVID-19 response and recovery.
