This webinar is organized in commemoration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, this year dedicated to "Leaving no one behind: Indigenous peoples and the call for a new social contract." There are an estimated 370-500 million indigenous people in the world, spread across 90 countries.
The purpose of this webinar is to highlight relevant country experiences fostering social participation and inclusion of indigenous peoples in health-related initiatives and interventions in the context of primary health care in rural and remote areas to ensure differentiated approaches. It is open for participation of representatives from indigenous peoples' networks, Governments, WHO and other UN system regional and country offices, members of international professional organizations, civil society, and partners working in rural health equity and indigenous peoples.
