Gone webinar on Malawi – close to the finish line of eliminating onchocerciasis

Join this webinar on Malawi and learn its inspiring news on being close to the finish line of eliminating onchocerciasis. Malawi will share recent outcomes of the national onchocerciasis expert committee and exciting results preparing the country for Stop MDA. Through consistent Ministry of Health and community driven efforts of treatment distribution Malawi is on course to assess the extent of disease interruption in endemic areas. Looking ahead, Malawi aims to be on track to eliminate onchocerciasis and other NTDs by 2030. The webinar will further highlight Malawi’s integrated approach in tackling NTDs which contributed to the country’s success in eliminating trachoma in 2022 and leprosy and lymphatic filariasis in previous years.
