Mass Casualty Management training in Ukraine

29 – 30 July 2025
In-person, (Invite only)

The WHO Academy’s Mass Casualty Management (MCM) course equips emergency teams with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to large-scale incidents. Through hands-on training and realistic simulations, participants learn to act swiftly and decisively during the critical first moments of a crisis.

This session will be delivered across five hospitals in Ukraine, with a focus on practical application and tailored adaptations to each institution’s needs. The goal is to embed essential MCM strategies that strengthen hospital readiness for high-casualty scenarios.

This training aims to build long-term capacity by:

  • Certifying Ukrainian MCM instructors to lead future sessions
  • Training 50 emergency staff members—including doctors, nurses, and administrators—across five hospitals

Highlights

  • Expands the MCM programme to Ukraine at a critical time for the national health system
  • Localizes training to ensure relevance and sustainability
  • Strengthens the resilience of healthcare institutions through capacity building
