Factsheet: Implementing the One Health Joint Plan of Action at national level

Overview

This factsheet outlines the One Health Joint Plan of Action (OH JPA), which was developed by the Quadripartite organizations (FAO, UNEP, WHO, and WOAH), and serves as a global framework designed to create sustainable, holistic solutions to prevent, predict, detect, and respond to health threats.

The OH JPA outlines practical pathways for One Health by identifying and addressing the deeper causes of critical global health risks. Delivered through six action tracks, it recommends specific actions for countries and international communities to help transform health systems and mitigate the impact of health challenges at global, regional, and country levels.

The Quadripartite are placing efforts to translate the OH JPA into practical guidance on how to implement the One Health approach. This includes the development of a complementary Guide to Implementing the One OH JPA at National Level, as well as national and regional workshops to help countries roll-out the OH JPA.
