The Department of Delivery for Impact (DFI) was set up in 2020 to accelerate measurable progress, at country level, of the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s mission to promote health, keep the world safe and serve vulnerable people.
As the cornerstone of WHO’s transformation agenda, the DFI supports all three levels of the organization in facilitating progress to achieve measurable impact towards the Triple Billion (3BN) targets and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The department also assists Member States in strengthening their capability to better deliver on these targets and improve health outcomes at the country level. In these ways, DFI helps translate the WHO’s purpose and policies into tangible outcomes on the ground.
