Berufsverband der Kinder - und Jugendärzte (BVKJ) e.V.
Monks - Ärzte im Netz GmbH is working closely with editorial offices (medical and popular science), as well as with professional medical associations. This “networking” enabled the development of internet-based and ad-free medical platforms for patients in cooperation with various medical professional associations.
Description of the website
The website of BVKJ e. V. is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).
https://www.kinderaerzte-im-netz.de/ is the website of the Association of Child and Adolescent Physicians Association in Germany (Berufsverband der Kinder- und Jugendärzte: BVKJ). It informs parents and other interested parties around the "Child and Youth Health" theme, including diseases and health problems up to the age of 18, news about scientific insights and tips for parents. Parents can find age-specific information in the sections "The first year (Das erste Jahr)", "toddler (Kleinkind)", "school child (Schulkind)" and "young people (Jugendliche)".
The current vaccination recommendations and all checkups are also summarized in separate sections. On the homepage parents can search for the next pediatrician near their home. The portal offers also a directory of child and adolescent emergency medical services on weekends and public holidays. The pages are constantly updated according to the latest science.
In the "Media library" (“Mediathek”) there are interactive tools as well as an "audio lexicon" (“Hörlexikon”) that explains various diseases and medical terms to children, such as also "vaccinations" (“Impfungen").
