The website of Impfkontrolle.de is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).

The aim of this web site is to provide up-to-date information about vaccination, categorized by target group. Background information on general immunization issues, vaccine-preventable diseases and the national immunization schedule for Germany are provided. Focus is given to specific topics, such as human papillomavirus and rotavirus vaccination, on a regular basis. Information about payment of expenses related to vaccination within the German health-care system is also given.

A special feature of the site is the “Impfchecker”, a cost-free online tool to evaluate vaccination requirements on the basis of date of birth, gender, pregnancy status, and the presence of chronic diseases or other conditions.
