Tat3im Initiative

The Ahfad University for Women (AUW) that hosts and manages the initiative is a pioneer higher education institution in Sudan whose philosophy is women’s education, development and empowerment. It’s history goes back to 1907 when the first school for girls was established in Sudan. Currently AUW has 6533 students from all parts of Sudan, neighboring countries and around the all the world.

The Tar3im Initiative website is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).
Tat3im initiative (Tat3im=immunization) is a Sudanese-based platform that aims to increase the awareness and literacy of the general public about the vaccines, immunization, and vaccine-preventable diseases in Sudan. The information is provided in the Arabic language and it is designed to equip the general public with the necessary information in order to help them making informed decisions about immunization-related issues. Moreover the website's content is suitable for healthcare professionals such as frontline vaccine providers, nurses, midwives, and doctors. Additionally, the website provides the visitors with information about vaccine safety in forms of videos, articles, fact sheets and FAQs
Website’s sponsorship policy
The website (Tat3im initiative) is managed by the Department of Public Health in the School of Health Sciences at Ahfad University for Women. The initiative is non-for-profit and the initiative's team and the advisory committee work on a voluntary basis.
Website’s content or editorial policy
The advisory committee is responsible for the scientific and linguistic review of the scientific content being prepared by the vaccination initiative team. This includes providing advice and recommendations on the content of the topics and publications that are provided through Tat3im Initiative's website.
