Strategic priority 2: Universal health coverage

Between 2023 and 2027 WHO will support the Government of Indonesia and partners to expand access to essential health services, strengthen human resources for health, improve financial protection, enhance the use of quality data and increase access to affordable essential medicines and medical products.

WHO will support efforts to strengthen regulatory systems to ensure the quality of medicines and medical products. It will promote their rational use and assist with the introduction of new vaccines.

WHO will also promote health across the life course. This includes improving reproductive, maternal, neonatal, adolescent and child health, and promoting healthy ageing.

WHO will continue to support disease-specific programmes such as for tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, malaria, noncommunicable diseases and mental health.
